Happy Holidays from Jacksonville Dance Theatre!

It has been a busy Fall but we have stories to tell and thanks to give.

The Season of Giving has been a good one for JDT. We'd like to thank and recognize the following donors for their generous contributions: Karsten Amlie, Peggy Burt, Rosie Carlino, Richard Graf, Pam Johnson, Hilary + Jared Libman, Holly Masturzo, Susan + Ron Masucci. We cannot thank you enough for your support! Whether you become a Friend of JDT or a member of our Movers + Shakers Society, it is gifts from people like you that bring JDT's mission to life.

Save the Date the for JDT's upcoming concert DANCE LOVE LIFE a concert for our community on February 3 at WJCT's Studio A. It will be an evening that promises to move and inspire.

Dancer Spotlight This month JDT shines the spotlight on Amber Daniels. Amber started as an volunteer for JDT, became an apprentice, and now is in her third season as a full company member. Amber is a native of Jacksonville and serves as the Director of Dance at Episcopal School of Jacksonville. She received her dance training at Douglas Anderson, Florida State College at Jacksonville and Jacksonville University. Amber recently launched Beer + Ballet, a monthly community ballet class at Ardwolf Brewery as part of her work as JDT's Community Outreach Coordinator. We love Amber and thank her for her commitment to JDT, to Jacksonville's growing dance scene, and for her spirit and artistry.

"Jacksonville Dance Theatre is a way for dancers in the city to grow further in their artistic voices. I am honored to share the stage with each dancer of JDT, constantly learning and feeling inspired. I am thankful to be heard, knowing that my voice and movement matters in the city I call home." - Amber Daniels

Finally, JDT is supported by the Cultural Service Grant Program administered through the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville and made possible by the City of Jacksonville. JDT is a proud CSG Org! #moreartculture

Seeing artists who fuse technical knowledge to the surprising and transcendent, is a lesson about dedication and focus, about how to be in art.” — Madeleine Peck Wagner on JDT, Folio Weekly, June 2015
